1408 starring John Cusack and Samuel L Jackson!

It's a movie based on a Stephen King story about an evil hotel room, sound corny but the first 30 minutes scared the hell out of me and the other half, and we aren't easily spooked!! Anyone seen it?

Yes, I saw this one some time ago, unfortunately I didn't think it was scary, but then I don't think there has been a scary film for years and years.....lol...don't think I'm capable of being scared by a film anymore :-(
Even the haunting in conneticut didn't do it :-(

You are tough as nails angel lol..It was mostly the suspense, it was very well done and I suppose we watched it late and we live in a really old house with carpeted creaky floorboards so that doesn't help

lol, me tough, no not really.....it was very well done, I liked it, but I'm still trying to find a film that is scary.
Have you seen the haunting in conneticut, or the doccumentary?
It's old now but a film I really do like is the exsorcism of Emily Rose, I really liked that it was about more than just her and the exsorcism, do you know that one? that's also based on a true story, I think Emily was a young german girl.

Yes i saw the emily rose one and it was horrible! Good film but very disturbing.

Watched 1408 a while back too but I agree about the first 30 minute build up being scary. It rocked. I doubt I'll stay alone in a hotel room after that! Loved the bit about the clock rolling back to the same hour at the end. Well, maybe if he hadn't been such a non believer! hehe

Glad you think so too Martin! Yeah it was interesting the way he wrote books on haunted hotels and didn't even believe in ghosts. I always find it hilarious the way Stephen King was asked at a conference what it was that frightened him, and he replied 'I frighten myself.'
